Video Conference Performances

Video Conferencing Allan was on vibraphone performing with the Kansas State University Latin Jazz Ensemble. Allan was in Stockholm, Sweden presenting at the Percussive Arts Society Day of Percusssion and the KSU Ensemble video conferenced in from Kansas, live and in real time. The KSU Latin Jazz Ensemble was under the direction of Dr. Kurt Gartner. |

"Live From New York" Allan's "Live From New York" video conference concert is now accessible to schools world-wide. Allan is seen here performing part of this program at the Melville Saskatchewan High School Jazz Festival from his studio in New York City. These concerts are live and interactive and are based on a New York City theme. |

Video Cocktail Gig Add a candelabra and tuxedo and you have a high-tech cocktail gig. This house party gig was staged just for a kick, but clearly demonstrates the potential of video conferencing technology. |
Latin Music Performances

Live at KoSA, 2004 Allan performs here on vibraphone and timbales. This performance took place at the KoSA International Percussion Workshop where Allan was joined onstage by drummer, Kenwood Dennard (Miles Davis, Sting, Quincy Jones), bassist Oscar Stagnaro (Paquito D' Rivera) and pianist, Rafael Alcala (Phil Wilson, Victor Mendoza). |

Vibrason in Toronto Allan played hundreds of gigs in Toronto with Vibrason. Marcus Chonsky led this six piece band which was a mainstay on the Toronto Salsa scene for many years. This studio recording is accompanied by a photo and video montage. Allan plays marimba on this recording. |
Commercial Functions and Jazz Performances

Solo Vibes with Tracks Allan works as a vibraphone soloist and often uses background tracks to supplement his live performances. This performance was shot at a dinner party in Toronto. Allan's repertoire includes arrangements of standard jazz tunes. |

Solo Malletkat with Tracks A variation of a theme ..... Allan sometimes performs live functions on Malletkat. This unique instrument has the general feel of a vibraphone, but can produce a wider range of sounds. Allan usually performs as a soloist with tracks which are generally played back from a computer or ipod. |

Jazz Trio This trio consists of vibes, guitar and bass and performs standard jazz repertoire. |

Jazz Quartet This quartet consists of vibes, guitar, bass and drums and performs standard jazz repertoire. Additional instruments can be added for certain functions. |
